About First Light
Two people, one conviction: you deserve to be met as you are.
First Light is a coaching practice specialising in ADHD — founded by Emily and Delvin.

Emily Harris
Group coaching, lived experience
Emily is a psychology graduate with a Master's in Speech and Language Therapy, a Cert IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), and years working with children and adults with ADHD and autism.
She was diagnosed with ADHD herself in 2024 — after years of masking, self-criticism, and quietly wondering why things that looked simple felt so hard.
She's spent years walking alongside other women, including leading a support group for mothers, and at First Light she leads the community side — a space for mums and parents with ADHD to put the mask down, be real, and share what actually helps.

Delvin Varghese
One-to-one coaching
Delvin is Indian-origin, grew up in the UK, and has lived across three continents — Australia, Europe and Asia.
He's spent years in higher education supporting and mentoring students with ADHD and neurodivergence, and managing neurodivergent staff, alongside a background in digital health and research.
He knows ADHD from inside a marriage and a household — the reminders, the shared mental load, the picking-up of pieces — and from years of building tools that help people work with their brains rather than against them.
He's completing his International Coaching Federation (ICF) coaching accreditation and leads the one-to-one coaching.
Why we started
Being the community you want to see...
One of the reasons we wanted to explore group coaching, was based on our own experience. When Emily was first making sense of her own ADHD, she went looking for other mums who got it — a group, a space, somewhere to take the mask off. But this was very hard to find.
So we said to ourselves, "we want to build that space"!
How we work
Strengths first
We build on what's already working, not on what's 'wrong' with you.
Actionable, Immediately
Whether it is deeper insight, or strategies to change how you live, coaching follows your pace.
Culturally aware
We get how culture, family and shame shape whether ADHD ever gets named — and we coach with that in the room.
Coaching, not clinical
Coaching is forward-looking and practical. We believe that therapy and medication are VERY powerful tools, and seek to complement it.
